OCTOBER 22-27

10am-4pm

Walcot Chapel, Walcot Gate, Bath BA1 5UG

In Support of Off The Record

Bath’s Walcot Chapel will be the home of Uncharted Realities, a new exhibition running from October 22-27. The exhibition will showcase the work of artists Nadia Ryzhakova and Michele Silk, both of whom bring their migrant backgrounds into their art. Their work explores themes of migration, belonging, and identity through distinct visual styles.

Nadia Ryzhakova, On The Seashore, acrylic, oil on canvas, 12x12 inches 2024

Nadia’s paintings blend fluid forms with blurred memories of childhood, offering a unique perspective on how past experiences shape who we are today. In contrast, Michele’s work draws inspiration from her African roots, incorporating bold leopard motifs to explore vulnerability and the search for safety in an uncertain world.

Curated by Lilia Bakanova, Uncharted Realities invites visitors to reflect on these themes while supporting a good cause. The exhibition is in collaboration with Off The Record (OTR), a local charity that provides mental health services to young people in Bath. A donation box will be available at the venue.
